SCOPE’S continued mission is to turn viewers into users. SCOPE International Art Fair is proud to announce the launch of the SCOPE Foundation, whose mandate is to help emerging contemporary artists, through grants, awards, and acquisitions. SCOPE is dedicated to not only supporting the international emerging artistic community, but local schools and not-for-profit arts institutions.
Performance, cinema, video, sound and installation art have long been an important and fertile part of the emerging contemporary art scene. Not only have SCOPE Art Fairs brought these unconventional media to a wide audience since 2002, they have donated more than $600,000 to supporting these endeavors. SCOPE is a leader in dedicating support and prominence to such programs, thus completely redefining the notion of the art fair’s responsibility to the artist, and inspiring other art fairs and institutions to do the same.
In early 2007, the SCOPE Foundation was launched as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) to more fully fund these programs, promote awareness outside the marketplace and academia, and involve the communities it visits. The SCOPE Foundation is primarily supported by SCOPE International Art Fair, but is also funded by corporate sponsorship, fund-raising, and private donations.

The SCOPE Foundation supports the following programs:
– SCOPE Cinema and Video offers worldwide surveys of progressive new media, installation, and video art, blurring the classic expectations of film and video art.
– SCOPE Performance has long been an important part of the emerging art scene, dispensing with the grid-like setting of an art fair, through a fusion of drama, dance, and performance happenings.
– SCOPE Sound provides a platform for cutting-edge music and sound art, commonly engaging analogue and digital technologies, etc.
– SCOPE Kids brings academia and the community together for a collaborative project in a public art setting. Student, teachers and the local community work together to realize a theme-based project that complements the fair. Enroll your children, school or institution in a variety of programs geared toward learning through the arts. On view throughout the duration of each SCOPE Art Fair.
– SCOPE Installation: Turning Viewers into Users. A deliberate curation of projects commissioned to initiate visitors to active viewing
